One of our memories together that you kept reminding me of - after proposing to Amelia, you said “Oh good I can buy a hat”, so maintaining our mother/son-in-law banter I replied “make sure it’s a tall black pointy one”. We always laughed at that one. Knowing you from age 16 you became more mum to me, who I listened to, learned from and looked up to.
